NVIDIA's First 55nm GPU: GeForce 9800 GTX+

Shortly after the GT200 launched, AMD "responded" with its Radeon HD 4850, a cheap card by comparison, but a far more interesting one from a practical performance standpoint. Priced at $199 and selling for as little as $170, the Radeon HD 4850 managed to invalidate most of NVIDIA's product line. In response, NVIDIA dropped the price of its GeForce 9800 GTX to $199 as well and introduced one more card: a $229 GeForce 9800 GTX+.

Originally we thought the GTX+ was a silly last minute afterthought as it looked like nothing more than an overclocked 9800 GTX. While its clock speeds are higher, it also happens to be the very first 55nm NVIDIA GPU. [Read more...]

AMD Radeon HD Series 4000

Hey everybody and welcome to yet again a new graphics technology release. It is only a few days ago since NVIDIA released their new flagship product the, GeForce GTX 200 series. BF2142 1.5 Update BEWARE!!!

I recently updated to the latest 1.5 patch for BF2142. And, found that with this patch your Northernstrike unlocks are not available to be gained. If you have available unlocks and want to go up to Northernstike Kits... I was lucky to have another computer that I had not updated and still had the 1.4 patch. Where I was able to gain access to go up to Northernstrike Kit(s) with my specific soldier ID using this v1.4 machine. Just a heads up to everyone who may have not unlocked all their Northernstrike Kits.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 200 series - Moving beyond gaming

THIS IS SPARTA! Oh ... hi everyone. Yeah once you get to play games with the beast we'll be showing off today I tend to get a little melodramatic. I have this weird thing that once I really like a piece of hardware I try to find a weird euphemism for it that fits the product. The actual GeForce GTX 280 we put to the test reminded me of pure brute force. But all that brute force streamlined, well organized and efficient could very well be an euphemism for SPARTAAAANS.
