GM's electric car, the Chevrolet Volt, just passed a major milestone, with the first pre-production Volt rolling off the assembly line in Detroit. These first Volts won't be heading to dealerships, but will instead be used to make sure the real-deal Volts are up to snuff.
Soon, the plant will start pumping out Volts for consumers to buy. Then, one assumes, they'll all get snapped up, global warming will reverse and finally life will make sense again. But no pressure, GM!
