Apple Acquires Another Speech-Recognition Firm

Kinda hard to brag about Siri when you are buying up speech-recognition firms to bolster its performance. I guess I would have kept this a secret too.
Apple has bought a company that spent more than a decade improving speech-recognition, a new report says. Apple last year quietly acquired Novauris Technologies, a firm that was founded in 2002 and worked on speech-recognition that was both server-based and device-based, TechCrunch reported on Thursday. Neither Apple nor Novauris announced the deal, but TechCrunch called the Novauris offices on Thursday and confirmed the news.
