Transparent VR glasses let you watch TV while doing other stuff

The problem with most virtual reality glasses, is that you can't see a darned thing while wearing them besides what's on the screens. Epson knows that people like to multitask, so their new glasses let you see right through the projected image so you remain aware your surroundings.
The display of the Epson Moverio BT-100 is described as a "quarter HD," so I suppose that translates to 960 x 540. The glasses run Android 2.2 with Flash and built in Wi-Fi connectivity, so you can read your email and watch YouTube videos while you're walking around town, or Heaven help us, driving a car.
The big downside to being able to see your surroundings, is that you will now be aware of all the people pointing and laughing at you as you do your finest Geordi La Forge impression.
The Moverio BT-100s will be available in Japan later this month for about $650. PHOTOS
