Give teens the keys to your time machine and they will say, "No backsies!" They may also destroy the universe. Oops.
Time travel -- it's a risky business. It's so risky, in fact, that we're still kind of shocked that the movie Risky Business isn't about time travel.
So you can imagine our concern when Michael Bay produced a found-footage film on the topic. Welcome to Yesterday stars a group of teens who discover that one of their fathers was working on time travel. Those playful scamps finish the job, and then they use the time machine. A lot.
Please see the first trailer, or, as we're calling it, Exhibit A.
Now, some have asked why this is a found-footage film when, typically, that particular style is reserved for the horror genre. And to that we say, if you don't think teenagers with a time machine is a horrifying concept, you have not thought the situation through.
Be prepared for Welcome to Yesterday to hit theaters on Feb. 28, 2014. Be very prepared. Possibly with a pocket universe to protect yourself from the inevitable damage these kids are going to reap on the timeline.
