This whole Atari lost landfill story gets weirder each time it comes up. The hidden and forgotten whereabouts of the fabled Atari burial ground is purported to be located in or around Area 51….yeah, thatArea 51. At least it makes for entertaining reading and possibly this time around, maybe an answer to the ongoing mystery. 
Gaining access to the site required written permission from the city of Alamagordo, a process that took about a year and a half.
