Apocalypse Survival: These 7 Places Could Keep You Alive During the End of the World

We're never more than a few years from the Apocalypse, if you listen to people who forecast doomsday. There's always someone who steps out from the shadows and calculates a date when the world is supposed to end.
They've never been correct on any forecast to this day, but scientists have been studying the end times for years. Much like the beginning of the world, scholars would like to know when time will run out for Earth, too.
Breathe easy – it's not likely to happen any time soon. However, if something crazy happened to our planet, here are a few options for hideouts that may keep you alive for a while.
First up is the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
If they'll let you in, the Greenbrier's bunker would be a phenomenal place to ride out the end of the world. According to the resort's website, the bunker measures 112,544 square feet and would be used to house members of Congress in an extreme emergency.
The bunker includes decontamination chambers, an intensive care unit, 18 dorms that could house over 1,000 people and a power plant with massive storage tanks. This is definitely the place to be when stuff goes down. MORE
