Star Trek PADD replica isn't exactly making the iPad nervous

We were so psyched when we first laid eyes on this Star Trek TNG PADD! We could glance at this thin tablet, and then nonchalantly hand it to an assistant and say things like, "Make it so."
Could we really have a functioning computer tablet that looks exactly like those sleek handhelds used in Star Trek: The Next Generation? Uh, No. Damn. This is a pretty close estimation of the actual prop used in the series, a resin prop replica of the DS9 PADD used by Picard and his minions. It's said to be hand-made by the same artists who created the props for the TV series.
We can pretend, can't we? Well, it'll cost us $120, available for preorder now. Meanwhile, tablet makers, consider putting some actual computer parts inside this beautiful design that's already right there waiting for you. Make it so.
