LG and Microsoft have partnered up in South Korea — and only South Korea — to start selling the former's LED TVs with the latter's gaming consoles. The terms of the deal are still unclear as the Xbox doesn't appear to be getting an official hardware upgrade to make it all work, but up above you can definitely see two dudes getting down with some 3D gaming powered by Microsoft.
The deal could expand to other Asian markets later, though it's weird that something like 3D — which is supposed to be the Next Big Thing — is being rolled out quietly by a major company with all the fanfare of a McDonald's Happy Meal toy. Personally, I'm fine with it. I'll be happy if
3D keeps its gimmick and its glasses away from my gaming.
