creates its own shelf space
One problem with setting up an iPod dock speaker to play your tunes, is that you need to clear some shelf space to fit it in. Not so with the Finite Elemente Hohrizontal 51, which actually is a shelf, with the speakers and electronics built inside.
With a maximum load capacity of about 55 pounds, it is strong enough to handle a smaller flat panel TV, and then you can use its auxiliary input to connect audio from the TV. It also has a USB input so you can connect your computer, while an AV output lets you play video from the iPod through your TV.
The Hohrizontal 51 (yes, the funky spelling is correct), should be available soon, and comes in several designer finishes. This is all very cool, although the $660 asking price is really pretty cold.
