Tesla's new(-ish) electric Roadster

Tesla Motors today unveiled an update to its famous Roadster sports car, the Roadster 2.5. The changes are fairly minor, including a new front fascia, better seats, an optional touchscreen navigator, better sound in the cabin and improved wheels. But any chance to post a bunch of photos of a super-sexy car of the future is one we'll gladly take.
Our favorite improvement is the new power control hardware, said to make it possible to drive this baby flat out in extreme heat or cold. Nice to know we could go flat out with this thing on the Trans-Canada highway in the middle of winter. Prices for the new car start at $101,500, but that's after the federal tax credit you get for going electric with your ride. The Roadster 2.5 should be on roads — exclusive, gorgeously maintained roads — in 2012. LINK
