What can HTML 5 do? Check out the future of the Web here
Who says you need to use Adobe Flash to do anything cool on the web? HTML 5 is aiming to take its place, and a group of artists and developers have put together a site with more than 100 demos of some of the crazy things they can do. We're warning you — if you go here, it might cost you the rest of the afternoon.

As you can see, HTML 5 is capable of a multitude of tricks, making simple video playback and animation look like child's play. There's something wonderful about doing all that in a browser without the need for any plug-ins such as Silverlight or Adobe Flash. And, sites using HTML 5 have no limitations when you're using Flash-bashing Apple products such as the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
On the other hand, Flash 10.1 can still whip HTML 5's ass in some cases. But that's changing fast.
These demos played beautifully on the latest Chrome browser, but they also work well in Safari and the latest beta of Firefox 4. Go ahead, gaze into the future!
