Back board makes you a faster swimmer without breaking any rules

A couple of years ago we reported on those fancy racing suits that helped swimmers like Michael Phelps shatter world records at the Beijing Olympics. Well now that the suits have been banned from international competition, swimmers are looking at other ways of getting a competitive edge. One idea is the Corsuit, which helps to keep you in a better position in the water.

Designed by Australian designer Sam James, the Corsuit is a plastic board that forces your back into a straight line, which is essential to get the maximum power from your arms and legs. Because it's only used during training kind of like the mind reading headband we saw yesterday, the Corsuit doesn't break any rules.
Currently the Corsuit is just a concept, but the Design Institute of Australia plans to enter it for a James Dyson Award next year.
