The first four minutes of the upcoming alt-history flick Iron Sky, which imagines a future where the Nazis left Germany and set up shop on the moon, has been released online—and it looks awesome.
It's a slow-boil start, with an absolutely stunning reveal and a bit of action at the end that will leave you dying for more.
For a B movie (call it a B+, maybe?), this long-in-development Finnish film looks like a lot of fun. The story follows the space Nazis as they prepare to attack Earth in 2018. Wow, got to love that synopsis.
The film has been in the works since 2006. It was first introduced with a teaser at the 2010 Cannes film festival to solid buzz, and it generated even more attention with a recent screening at the 2012 Berlin film fest.
A company called Entertainment One has picked up the U.S. distribution rights, though a stateside release date has yet to be announced.
What do you think? Does this look awesome, or just too crazy to work?
