It looks like Fox knew what they were doing when they brought back Bryan Singer to directX-Men: Days of Future Past. The latest addition to the epic team-up? Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and it looks like he'll be in for a lot more than just a cameo this time around.
The film started as a sequel to the X-Men prequel First Class but has grown into a melding of the modern-day X-Men films and the '60s-set First Class. Cast members from both films are being lined up, with a storyline based on the time-traveling 1980s Days of Future Pastcomic arc.
One of the greatest parts of 2011's First Class was Jackman's all-too-brief (and absolutely hilarious) cameo, where he quickly declined Xavier and Magneto's invitation to join the team of mutant do-gooders.
For anyone thinking his appearance in Days of Future Past might be similar, Jackman took to Twitter to let fans know he'll have a much bigger role in the latest sequel:
With both casts returning, and original X-Men and X-2 director Singer back in charge,Days of Future Past is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing comic book films in the pipe.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear it should have an ample amount of Wolverine?
