If you have never seen a Dodge Ram and a Hyundai Veloster crash, you can now cross that one off your bucket list. A wild police chase through Syracuse, Utah, ended quite dramatically when the driver of a Dodge Ram literally “rammed” a Veloster into submission.
The chase started on Saturday after a 14-year-old boy stole the keys to his grandfather’s Hyundai and began joyriding around town. The grandfather had reported the car stolen, and thanks to an anonymous tipster using a police scanner app, officers tracked down the Veloster and engaged in pursuit.
The driver took a few laps around the suburban neighborhood with cops on his tail, however police were forced to pull back as the Veloster made a beeline through a busy skate park, just barely missing innocent patrons.
Bryson Rowley, the owner of the Dodge Ram shown in the video, effectively put a stop to the adolescent’s reign of terror when he blocked the Veloster and pinned it against his bumper.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the 14-year-old carjacker has been taken to a juvenile detention center, where he’ll undoubtedly have some quiet time to think about his actions. LINK
