For many of us, dressing up as our favorite superhero, sidekick, or super villain was an exciting part of being a kid at Halloween, or anytime in general. Many people have continued this fun pastime into adulthood with elaborately created costumes. This talented group of people are known as cosplayers.
Cosplayers spend hours planning, producing, and ultimately exhibiting their elaborate costumes at conventions, such as Comic-Con International which starts today in San Diego. Taking a step further, some cosplayers work with talented photographers to produce the kinds of extraordinary images you see here.
