
Here in New York City it can be tough to see stars even when the sky is clear, so I didn't even try to venture out in the sub-freezing temperatures to try and witness the only lunar eclipse on a winter solstice that will occur in my lifetime.
Luckily astrophotographer William Castleman did, and managed to capture this spectacular time lapse video from the clear skies over his location in Florida.
