Sony PlayStation 2 and HDTV combo is five years late

These days, it's all about the PlayStation 3. Sales are up for Sony, Gran Turismo 5 is finally available after five years of development, 3D games are looking riper andpossibly holographics are in the works. What about the PlayStation 2? It's getting integrated into an HDTV.

For $99 you can pick up a brand new PS2 with its dated graphics and super slim design or for another $200, you can grab a 22-inch Sony Bravia HDTV with the PS2 built right in. The panel outputs video at 720p, has four HDMI cables, 2 optical audio ports and three USB ports. Unfortunately, there are no games included.
It sure does have a lot of ports for such a small HDTV. In comparison, my 26-inch LG LED-lit HDTV only has two HDMI and one USB.
For most gamers, a PS2/HDTV would have been more useful when that console was in its prime. Sony, give us an HDTV with a built-in PS3 and then we'll consider inviting you over for tea.
