But the real reason why it’s okay to buy an iPhone 4 is that even though it runs the current iOS 4.3 on-screen operating system and interface now, Apple will allow you to easily upgrade it to the new iOS 5 interface for free once it’s released. That’s the same system the iPhone 5 will run.
The list of reasons to wait for the iPhone 5 release date (if you can) is a long one. The iPhone 5 will likely be faster, thinner, offer more battery life and a better camera, and toss in surprise new features. And the iPhone 4 will likely see a cheaper price tag once the iPhone 5 arrives. But that doesn’t mean you must wait.
