Fake elevator ghost reduces unwitting victims to whimpers

You might like to think of yourself as an open-minded person who would react to a supernatural presence with curiosity and fascination rather than flat-out shrieking terror. But suppose that supernatural presence you've always been curious about pops up next to you in an elevator and screams in your face. We're thinking you might react a bit like these people did.

The clip below comes from the Brazilian television show Programa Silvio Santos, where the producers apparently thought it would be fun to stage an elaborate supernatural prank and scare the living hell out of unsuspecting elevator passengers, all to get maximum laughs from a live studio audience (because, as we all know, terror is hilarious!).
The prank works like this: The passenger (or passengers in some cases) board the elevator, the lights begin to flicker, and then the lights go out. In the darkness, a little girl with unkempt hair and ghostly makeup crawls out of a hidden compartment in the wall and stands next to the passengers. When the lights come back on, the passengers find themselves riding with an apparent apparition, who then screams at them before disappearing into darkness again.
As you'll see below, some passengers were only startled by this experience, while others just lost their freaking minds with horror. Check it out, and try not to think about it the next time you get in an elevator. LINK
