The Mandarin is packing a little something extra for the international crowd.
We were already pretty stoked with the look of Ben Kingsley's Mandarin from thefirst poster we saw, but imagine our surprise when it turned out we weren't quite getting the whole story. Check out this international poster and see if you can spot the difference.
Here's a hint -- he's got a gun!
All right, that's less of a hint and more what the actual difference is. Still! This is a fascinating change. Why does he have the gun here and not in the domestic version of the poster? Is it because producers feared American audiences would be less likely to see a comic-book film that portrays more real-life violence? There's certainly no denying that the Mandarin is even more menacing now.
