Magic mirror lets you try on fully interactive virtual clothes

Although walking out of a store with a bag full of new clothes is fun for almost anyone, the tedium of trying on those clothes first remains something of a chore. Now, a new display in Japan is showing off what is almost certainly the best virtual try-on mechanism you've ever seen.
Presented by Osaka's Digital Fashion Co., the Active Lab allows visitors to try on a number of outfits all without ever touching the garments. And beyond simply overlaying a dress on a person's body, the 3D representation of the garment is fully interactive. A person can see how the outfit looks while moving and even twirling around, providing a 360-degree view of the what outfit looks like on their body.

The user can also flip through a variety of outfits by simply swiping the gesture controls on the virtual mirror rather than touching a tactile menu. There's no word on when this technology will hit retail stores, but it's easy to see that the days of virtual try-ons are just about here.
