Ford is 3D printing its concept models

Ford Freeform Fabrication Technology (F3T) is revolutionizing car manufacturing. It's a 3D printer that can build a design from a CAD file fast — we're talking hours rather than weeks here. Right now, it's being used for concepts or custom car designs, but maybe someday we'll see Fords and other auto makers using versions of the F3T in large-scale production.
