Rumor of the Day: The new Batman's got two suits, and one's got armor

If this report is true, we may have some details about the new Batsuit. Or, rather, the Batsuits.
That's right, if the crew over at Latino Review's sources are to be believed, Ben Affleck's Batman will don not one, but two costumes at various points in the now-delayed Batman vs. Superman film. The first of the two suits will apparently be a classic gray and blue costume, which would be the first time a big-screen Batman has worn that look. The other suit will reportedly be something armored, akin to what readers of The Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come saw Batman wearing at various points. The armored suit in Dark Knight Returns is particularly famous among comic-book fans, because it's the suit an aging Bruce Wayne used to battle Superman in one of the story's most iconic moments. As for how it'll look, here's what Latino Review is hearing.
"According to the source, the plating is silver/white. The plates are attached to a black undercloth. The plates doesn’t cover his entire body. We see the black undercloth at the joints. Supposedly, it looks incredible. Equally, or maybe even better-looking than the other suit and it’s leagues above and beyond Bale’s suit from what I’m told."
Choosing silver or white armor plates for a guy whose modus operandi very often involves darkness and deception as he prowls the streets of Gotham City by night is interesting, but perhaps there's a larger reason for the coloring than to make it look cool (and, you know, to sell more action figures). Perhaps this is even a suit Bruce Wayne will use to put that young whippersnapper Clark Kent in his place, or perhaps it's got another purpose. Then again, perhaps this is just a rumor, or a piece of preproduction concept art that'll never actually see the finished film.
Whatever it is, we might catch a glimpse at a new Batsuit soon enough. Latino Review also notes sources claiming that a suit reveal could happen as early as next month.
