When people talk about electric bikes, I tend to think of those electric assist Chinese food delivery specials, not a superbike like the Mission R.
Built to compete, and presumably win in the 2011 TTXGP race series for zero emissions bikes, the Mission R packs 141 horsepower and 115 lb/feet of torque in a package no larger than most 600cc sport bikes. Top speed is a mind numbing 160-mph, way faster than other green machines such as the Tesla.
Unfortunately you can't buy a Mission R right now, as they're strictly for use in the race program. Yet somehow I imagine if Jay Leno wanted one, they would figure out a way to get him one. PHOTOS
