The legions of well-heeled Japanese elderly aren't the only ones looking for a little extra robotic help in their old age, it seems the French are thinking along the same lines. And, surprisingly, their KOMPAI robot may actually be a bit ahead of the game.
Developed by Robosoft, the KOMPAI robot was recently on display at the Innorobo conference in Lyon, France. The robot was specifically developed to aid the elderly by interacting via voice and carrying out simple tasks around the house including personal scheduling, entertainment, grocery lists, and even contacting your doctor.
