Anybody can put on a wetsuit, hop on a surfboard and yell "Cowabunga!" and glide through their favorite body of water, but how many people will look like a Tron player doing so in the darkness of night?
No, these surfers aren't trying out for the next Tron flick (how can anybody beat Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund?). These brave men and women just decided to mark the start of summer (Australia's summer is from December to February) by surfing the waves of Australia's Bondi Beach with glow-in-the-dark sticks tubing attached to their wetsuits and surfboards
I'm not much for surfing (hailing from New York City and all), but I have a fondness for glow-in-the-dark presentations and this one is pretty sweet.
Surfing filmmakers Jack McCoy, Bali Strickland and Eugene Tan say the purpose was to capture Australia's largest glow-in-the-dark surf attempt. I'm not record-declarer, but the results look fantastic to say the least.
