The beauty about Hong Kong's modern landscape is that it's an architect's dreamland for vanguard design. Nearly all of the city's new structures sprouting up are very untraditional. Naturally, the world's largest underground high-speed rail station is also filled with character.
Designed by Aedas, the Express Rail Link West Kowloon Terminus will link Hong Kong to Beijing is as insane as transportation terminal gets. With 15 tracks for high-speed trains that can hit 124 miles per hour speeds and over 430,000 square meters of space, you'd better believe it will need a good deal of air conditioning.
The most striking parts of the entire design are a curved pedestrian roof, organic interior and an exterior that looks, well, we don't know what it looks like. What do you think it looks like?
