Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus went
through about a half-dozen rewrites to make it more standalone before
going in front of a camera. But want to see what the script looked like before Damon Lindelof (Lost, Star Trek) was brought in to rewrite it?
The original version of the film, written by Jon Spaihts and dubbed Alien: Engineers at the time, has leaked online via Prometheus Movie. The writer has even taken to Twitter to confirm it is his edit.
As we've heard before, the initial draft has a lot more of that original Alien vibe, with chestbursters and facehuggers all popping up along the way.
Reading what was originally here also shows the changes (good and bad) Lindelof made, as he and Scott tried to shoehorn a sci-fi epic into what was simply a decent monster-movie script.
The spirit of Prometheus is here, but it all still feels a little half-baked.

What do you think? Would you have preferred this over the theatrical version?
