The dream sequences and flash-forwards to the Skynet-occupied future remain some of the best examples of a burned-out post-apocalypse ever put to film. Plus, the liquid-metal kills from Robert Patrick’s T-1000 are just as frightening now as they were when this flick opened all the way back in 1991.
Some vintage footage showing famed effects supervisor Stan Winston’s work on the film has recently surfaced, and it’s amazing to see the early-'90s tactics used to make that vaporizing bomb and T-1000 attacks look so great.
