Samsung to introduce foldable phones with Ultra HD by 2015

Smartphones come in all shapes and sizes these days, from phablets to curved screens. But it seems that just wasn't enough for Samsung, as the company is already planning to create a phone with a display that can fold in two by the end of 2015.
What's more, the tech giant promises its new phones will sport displays with an impressively high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels as soon as next year, with a density of 550 pixels per inch.
The new specs are a huge leap over today's highest 1920 x 1080 resolution smartphones, though it's too soon to tell if we'd be able to even see the difference. (Most likely not — Deputy Editor.) And if you still aren't impressed, then take in the fact that the company is working on displays with 4K resolutions, or Ultra HD with 3840 x 2160 pixels, expected by 2015.
Samsung isn't stopping its smartphone experiments (like the curved Galaxy Round) anytime soon — a phone with a bendable display, due out sometime in 2014, is already in the works.
The foldable phones would resemble a wallet that can fold out to a larger screen on the inside at full length, kind of like a traditional flip phone on acid. Compact and seamless wearable tech has been a highlight of the company's efforts (we all already know about its Galaxy Gear, right?) and bendable, flexible and foldable displays could very possibly bring tech wearability to a whole new level.
