Halo Reach gets its $10 add-on today. The Noble Map Pack includes a small, medium, and large map. Breakpoint is the largest map, designed for the invasion mode and sporting lots of room for vehicles to stretch their legs. Here you'll find the matchmaking debut of a warthog with a rocket launcher mounted on the back. "It's really big," says one of the artists in this video. "It's really snowy".
Each map gets a sort of director's commentary video from Bungie. Above is the video for Anchor 9, a zero-G level set in the hangar of a spaceship, with room on the outside to jump around and defy death, if you're so inclined. The interior is littered with what one artist calls "escape routes" in case you have to run away a lot. Here is the video for Tempest, the medium sized map with an asymmetrical layout based on a weather control station. Be sure to fly the banshee through the weather control laser beams for a special bonus.
