General Motors is expanding a previous recall of 2011 trucks to replace the rear axle cross pin, which may have been improperly heat-treated and could fracture, becoming displaced within the rear axle. If the pin moves out of position, it could create interference and cause the rear axle to lock. GM knows of one customer who has experienced the problem, resulting in a loss of power. No related accidents have been reported. LIST
The recall now includes 26,751 vehicles, including Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Cadillac EXT; Chevrolet Avalanche, Colorado, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe; and GMC Canyon, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
