A woman walking into a garage Sunday evening was fatally shot after a man yelled at her and opened fire when she turned around, Fort Worth police said Tuesday.
No one has been arrested as of this morning.
The 34-year-old victim, whose identity had not been released, died at John Peter Smith Hospital Sunday shortly after she was shot in the chest, police said Tuesday.
A Tarrant County medical examiner's official said Tuesday that family members had not been notified, but authorities expected to release the woman's name by the end of the day.
The woman’s fiance told investigators that she had just returned from the store and was walking into the garage about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of Saint Vincent Road when a black vehicle pulled up.
A man exited the vehicle, walked up the driveway and yelled "Hey!" according to the fiance.
When the victim turned, she was shot, the fiance said.
The investigation continued Tuesday.
