GM's Hummer now reduced to glorified electric golf cart

The Hummer, once a proud symbol of extreme suburban excess, was well known for two things: being obnoxiously large, and having gas mileage inversely proportional to its size. The latest officially licensed Hummers are small electric "resort vehicles," stripping away everything anyone could want from a Hummer, except obnoxiousness.
The MEV Hummer HX, as this vehicle is called, unashamedly steals the name of the original Hummer HX, which was a concept unveiled by GM in 2008 that never made it into production:

The present Hummer HX differs in every single way from an actual Hummer except for being dressed up to look "proportionally correct," and when I say dressed up, I mean that according to the website it's got HUMMER™ alloy wheels, HUMMER™ sill plates, a HUMMER™ louver grille, and even HUMMER™ floor mats. That's all fine, I guess, but there's simply no getting around the fact that it's aresort vehicle and while driving around it in you'll look like this:

Oh yeah. There's totally cowbell in that video, just to let you know how awesome of a vehicle this is. If you want one to complement your resort lifestyle, the MEV Hummer HX starts at an appropriately ludicrous $16,000.
