Audiophiles like horn loaded speakers for their efficiency, but most horns are huge floor standing behemoths. The Enhance speaker takes the horn concept, and shrinks it down to a desktop version you can use with your laptop.
Designer Jason Plumb says the Enhance uses a teak body coupled to an acrylic horn, and from the picture it looks like the driver is also back loaded with a forward firing port. This should enable you to get lots of sound without needing a whole lot of power.
The Enhance is currently a concept, although with the desktop audiophile market getting pretty busy recently I think there would be a market for the Enhance. LINK
