Actors often like to use juggling as an expression of their creativity and free form thinking, but if this latest discovery is any indication, robots of the future won't just be faster and longer lasting than us, they will also be more talented.
Developed at the Department of Control Engineering at the Czech Technical Institute in Prague, the juggling robot uses two arm-like mechanisms and a high-speed camera to detect the movements of individual balls. The juggling motion of the robot is not only perfect, but has just as much mesmerizing effect as when a human juggles.
