Shia LaBeouf is tired of all that screaming and running away from giant robots. AfterTransformers: Dark of the Moon hits theaters later this month, the actor will retire his version of Sam Witwicky.
While at the MTV Movie Awards, LaBeouf spoke about the latest and "final" installment in Michael Bay's Transformers trilogy. He said, "I'm not coming back to do another one. I don't think Mike will either. It still is a hot property, I think, especially coming out of the third one. So I imagine they'll reboot it at some point with someone else."
Now both LaBeouf and Bay have openly stated that Dark of the Moon is their last hurrah into the world of Autobots and Decepticons. But when it comes to movies you should never say never. In the past decade we've seen so many unnecessary fourth films, one of which LaBeouf starred in (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).
We're sure they'd like to end it with just three and call it a day, but you never know what might happen in the future. Even though LaBeouf seems OK with another actor taking on Transformers, he did admit that it would be a little weird seeing someone else as Sam.
"I'll enjoy it. I'll go [see it] opening night, I'll be there. But there is a disconnect. It's mine, dude. It's mine," he joked. Well, you can see LaBeouf, Bay and Optimus Prime make magic one last time whenTransformers: Dark of the Moon opens in theaters on June 29.
