You wouldn't think that something as deliberately seedy, grimy and noir-y as Frank Miller's Sin City movie could go well with Disney's bouncy-bright animated features. But this trailer mashup shows they swing together like vodka and orange juice.
Beauty and the Beast, The Rescuers, The Great Mouse Detective, Mulan, 101 Dalmatians, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sleeping Beauty—a whole roster of animated classics twisted to conform to the story of Marv, a yellow bastard, and the prostitute heroes of Sin City. And it is black-and-white-and-color glorious.
Is it wrong that I want to see all of Sin City done like this? Yes, it is. And yet I don't care.
