Doesn't it seem like it's been forever since someone lost their head on Game of Thrones? Well, HBO finally announced that their Emmy-winning hit series will return for its second season on Sunday, April 1, at 9 p.m. ET. Like the first season, season two will have 10 episodes.
It was previously announced that season two would be based on the second book in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire," A Clash of Kings. That means you can expect plenty of treachery and turmoil as the battle for control of the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms continues.
Returning cast members include: Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Emmy winner Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey and Kit Harington.
