And so it begins! Marvel Studios has released the first official photo from the set of Iron Man 3. After countless paparazzi shots, we've finally got something high quality to look at. No fuzzy images here, just Tony Stark and his multiple suits.
As you can see, Marvel is playing it safe. They're showing us the goods, while still keeping us at a distance. This photo features Robert Downey, Jr. as Stark in his workroom, where he's about to shoot a scene. Unfortunately, his back is to the camera so we can't see his face or signature goatee.
Last week, a set photo featuring what looked like the Iron Patriot leaked online. Fans were buzzing over who could be inside the spangly outfit. Most sources said James Badge Dale (The Grey), who plays a character named Eric Savin in the film. Perhaps this new photo was Marvel's way of diverting our attention?
It feels great to see Tony back at his old stomping grounds. Don't you think? Iron Man 3 is written and directed by Shane Black and co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as James "Rhodey" Rhodes and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan.
