The first photo we've gotten from the season premiere shows Rick pointing a pistol, equipped with what looks like a silencer, looking quite serious. Sadly, the backdrop is pretty generic, so it's hard to tell where he might be. But more than anything, we'd like to know who (or what) the fearless leader might be holding at gunpoint?
The beefed-up third season will feature 16 episodes—up from 13 last year—and tackle two of the greatest characters from the long-running Walking Dead comic: the badass leader the Governor (David Morrissey), and the sword wielding zombie killer Michonne (Danai Gurira).
The series is set to return to the airwaves in late October.
