No one really cares whether you are for or against Megaupload, we're all just here for the crazy statements made by the U.S. Government in this case. 
The U.S. Government has responded to Megaupload’s request to dismiss the criminal proceedings, and to return the money that was seized by the authorities. The attorney general argues that it’s not a problem that Megaupload was not served and notes that it would be unprecedented to dismiss the case at this time. The Government further objects to returning any funds to aid Mega’s defense, as this money was "stolen" from the entertainment industries.
