Dark Skies is a film with a little something to prove. After all, it's coming directly from the producers of, not just Paranormal Activity, but Insidious, and Sinister, too. Each of those films is soil-yourself scary in its own way. We've got the trailer for Dark Skies that shows us ITS brand of scary.
Starring Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton and J.K. Simmons, the film follows a seemingly ordinary family as their home seems to become inhabited by dark and evil forces. There's a nice shout-out to the original Poltergeist which leads right into the family, the Barrets, slowly becoming possessed. There's some creepy body horror happening, plus the constant oppressive "them" that are out of sight but always threatening to take the Barrets.
