Sweded trailers are a dime a dozen these days, but it’s not often the director being parodied actually gives one a seal of approval. But James Mangold isn’t most directors.
A low-budget remake of The Wolverine trailer recently popped up online, which isn’t much of a surprise considering its one of the most anticipated flicks of the year. But the man tasked with making the actual film — James Mangold — has been cool enough to chime in. Mangold has been keeping fans apprised with the latest news on The Wolverine via his Twitter account, but things took a hilarious turn when he tweeted a link to the sweded trailer with a one word endorsement: “Fantastic.”
Turns out, Mangold is right, and the trailer is pretty great. It must be seen for the makeshift Wolverine mutton chops alone. They’re just hideously awesome.
