iMotion haptic 3D controller lets you get a 'grip' on gaming

Immersive video games are great and all, but sometimes, a player just wants to get a better "grip" on things. Enter the iMotion 3D controller, a portable, wearable, Tony Stark-like device that not only has haptic feedback, but also creates an interactive, floating virtual touch field in front of you. Mind blown yet?
The compact controller, which is currently a Kickstarter by Intellect Motion, uses velcro to slip over either the palm of your hand or on a belt buckle (as demo'ed by one of its creators). The controller is illuminated by three LED lights and contains a gyroscope and accelerometer in order to establish your position in the game. Its four-channel airtouch (haptic feedback) feature allows you to "feel" an object inside your game or app. Moving, dragging and grabbing are just three of many actions made possible by the iMotion. Now you can finally grab a virtual tomato and fling it at someone!
iMotion's flexible compatibility also makes it an attractive investment for any gamer, since it can be paired via Bluetooth to any computer that is controlled by keyboard, mouse and a standard webcam. When used with the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset and the Virtual Hands SDK, the controller can also simulate your hands.
The iMotion controller has a range of 1-16 feet, supports applications that operate at 100 frames per second, and has a pinpoint accuracy of 0.08 inches and a low latency of 10-20 milliseconds. Up to four iMotion controllers can be paired at once, making it ideal for any co-op games, even in single screen. And at a reasonable starting price of $49 (early bird price) or $69 (regular price), there's no reason not to get one. I'll take four, please! VIDEO
