Gigantic phone cushion guards against sore ears

Designer Robert Potter must talk on the phone a lot. At least, that's what I'm getting from his Earos concept, which is a huge, gaudy cushion that is fixed to your phone and keeps your ear from pressing up against a hard surface for too long. Still, there's a weird appeal to it.
On the one hand, looking at that image one can't help but be reminded of those neck pillows that they sell at airports. Is your ear really so uncomfortable that you'd add something so tacky-looking to it?

Still, we'll give Potter high marks for thinking it through. More than just a simple Cushion, the Earos acts as a stand of sorts when flipped around the other side of your phone, and will also shield your ear from the elements and — we imagine — improve how well you can hear a conversation.
Peek down below for a view of how the Earos would look in action.
