Huge trash incinerator looks like a Cathedral for garbage

Most communities tend to hide away the nuts and bolts of their infrastructure, but why not make it into something beautiful that people can be proud of? So even though its function is to burn trash, this incinerator being built in Roskilde Denmark looks more like a modern Cathedral.
Designed by Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat, the incinerator will convert local trash into electricity and heat for 60,000 homes in the area. The 330-ft "spire" hides the main chimney for the plant, and van Egeraat sees it becoming an "icon on the horizon" for the area.
The Roskilde plant is scheduled to be completed in 2013. LINK
