Imagine a gallery full of blank canvasses, that instantly turn into art when you take a picture of them. That's the idea behind this art project called Take A Picture.
The turns out that the art is actually under the canvas, where an array of infrared LEDs are arranged to form the picture which could be anything from a winking smiley face to abstract geometric patterns. The trick is that infrared light is invisible to the human eye, but a digital camera's image sensor picks it up and records it as something you can see.
There are no current plans for a gallery show of Take A Picture art, but it would be interesting to see people's reactions when then enter a show full of seemingly blank canvasses. LINK
